Texture is everywhere

When I make my journals or even pieces of art, my main focus is texture. Being in a wheelchair, I'm a bloomin nightmare to take out in the country for a walk. Just today, we went for a peaceful walk alongside a river, and it took three times as long because I had to forage for gelli printing and, of course, took loads of photos. I can't tell you how peaceful and calming I feel with the sound of the river and birdsong. Another place of danger, haha, is a home furnishing shop like Next (other shops are available, haha ). I mean, I just have to touch and feel everything, smell every diffuser... surely everyone does it, right??
I like my work to be 3 dimensional where at all positive, crackle pastes, mod rock, clay and of course wood, fibres, hot glue...the list goes on. I come into my own in Summer when i can craft outside and not worry about the mess, the Yew and Me shed onsite make it accessible all year now of course.

I've been working on some notebooks this week actually made of Silver birch bark, i've filled with forage dyed papers so give a real natural feel, will see how they go.

Right i'm off now to water my plants in my happy little garden, I might just show you around it one day.
Keep on Journaling xxx
