Changes are a coming
It's been a bit of a week really, it started off badly with a trip to A&E in a bit of a bad way, I had a seizure and had no improvement with my 2 x doses of midazolam so my carers called an ambulance and Mark.
We had a first responder, an advanced paramedic ( who travelled with us) and the paramedic team, sadly i had to have diazepam and went into a respiratory arrest so i was given artificial ventilation ( bagging) until we got to resus, for the first time i have no memory of anything. Lorazepam was given in resus and i eventually came round, terryfying but thank goodness all went well, except i seem to have had a change in my abilities, memory and personality, apparently from air hunger on the oxygen or potentially lack of oxygen as they set up the bagging, whichever way its been 10 days and no improvement seen sadly.
Anyway that was the only bad news because something amazing happened, Rowan my son came up to visit, i haven't seen him for 2 years, oh i cant tell you how amazing it was to hug him, we had a few hours together and as i've already said it was amazing, really warmed my heart. Then the next day was my birthday and Mark took us to Low wood bay in Windermere for afternoon tea and an overnight stay, it was so nice, really gave us both a boost.
Its so very important to take small steps forward, to balance bad with good and make special memories, life is being tested and sadly we have some big decisions to make but one things for sure i'm going to keep on blogging as i think it's not only good for me but hopefully it may just help someone else living with FND.
For now, as it's weigh day, i'm off to have pancakes...YUM
Best Wishes
Sharon xx
