The great thing is there was very little WiFi so we had to switch off, we read, did meditation by the river and took Highland cow and Valais sheep experiences, hugging a Valais sheep is something ticked off as is dipping my feet in a river, so wonderful.
So i took my large A4 gelli plate and lots of paints , i used leaves, pebbles and sticks from our surroundings, i just wanted to spend a few hours purely gelli printing. I printed onto tags, A4 card and tea bag paper so i have a plentiful supply, i aim to hot wax the teabag paper and then trap dried flowers and leaves within 2 layers but for now that's another job ticked off a big list of calm and mindful art sessions. It's really easy to get carried away with making the books but so much goes on in the basic preparation of each book that isn't always taken into account when people are asking the price and it's why a crafter can't price for hours spent creating, i find so much joy in making the Journals so that's just fine.
I hope i have given you a little inspiration too
Lots of love
Sharon
